Finish Strong

| by Bert Armstrong

If your nonprofit's fiscal year ends June 30, then right about now, you are busy checking in on the status of grant proposals, doing phone following-ups with those annual donors you haven't heard from yet, and working to close every outstanding gift request you have extended to special gift prospects.

What?  You aren't doing that?

Well then you must have been doing terrific work all year long, following your development plan, meeting deadlines, and hitting all of your fundraising goals for the year.  Congratulations.  So you are probably spending this time thanking donors and getting things ready for the start of your next fiscal year.

Right?

Our next few posts will focus on what nonprofits should be thinking about or doing now to end your fiscal year strong and to start your new year right.  Don't  leave your favorite charity at risk by neglecting important end of year solicitations, stewardship calls to special donors, and planning for the coming year.  Join the conversation and tell us what your nonprofit will be doing during the dog days of summer.
