Executive Search, Talent Acquisition & Transitions

Moving you toward your vision, one leader at a time.

In addition to financial and opportunity costs, the loss of a top executive or key professional can take an incalculable toll on any organization. Add the time it takes to update job descriptions, execute search plans, follow up with referrals and references, pore through resumes and schedule interviews—and the process can feel completely overwhelming.

With our team’s deep nonprofit background and extensive professional networks, along with a quiver of powerful tools and software, we make the hiring process more effective and more manageable for busy leaders like you.

The best part? Our advisors have been through this process as executive directors, board members, search committee chairs, leadership team members, and of course consultants. Our team has experienced transition from every angle—so you’ll feel supported, equipped and empowered every step of the way.

Partner with Armstrong McGuire to recruit impactful, effective leaders and professionals.

Your time is valuable and limited, so we focus on the recruitment efforts all the way through onboarding, while you focus on fulfilling your organization’s mission. We make the hiring process straightforward, manageable, and effective.

Executive Search

To find the most qualified and diverse candidates that strengthen your organization and mission, we tap into our extensive regional and national network of colleagues, contacts, and partners. Once there’s a match, we work with you to build a foundation that ensures a healthy and successful onboarding, and a good long-term fit.

Executive Transition Management

New leadership can be the turning point in the life of any organization. To prepare for a change in executive leadership, we employ our proven change-management program: Executive Transition Management (ETM)*.

This program was developed by national thought leaders and experts in the field of organizational development, nonprofit capacity building, and executive recruitment, to reduce the risks associated with nonprofit executive leadership transitions, while increasing prospects for long-term success.

*Armstrong McGuire was the first firm in North Carolina to adopt this model. We were fortunate to be funded in our training by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and trained in implementation by the model’s principal architects.
