Saturday was our family’s 3rd annual Parents Can’t Say No Day. We started this tradition during Covid to celebrate the end of summer and the start of a new school year.

December 2022 I was diagnosed with Stage 0 breast cancer. I didn’t know there was such a thing as Stage 0 and I certainly didn’t want cancer to be part of my journey.

When I started working at Armstrong McGuire, I was asked to submit a professional bio and answer a few questions for our website. I made the connection recently that, at the time, I noted my favorite vacation spot was New Bern, NC.

My father was raised on a farm. While he has never been a professional farmer, farming, working the land, and producing something of value is in his DNA. What he was not born with is patience!
