Mendi Nieters brings 20 years of development and nonprofit management experience to the team. Her nonprofit career began at the National MS Society where she tripled her chapter’s annual income, transitioned the board to a strategic fundraising base, and ultimately served as the organization’s Vice President of Development. Mendi then served as the Regional Vice President of Development for the American Lung Association, where she merged three development teams over three states into one, implementing a comprehensive, strategic development plan.
At Alliance Medical Ministry, Mendi managed the organization’s annual fund, communications, outreach, program development, and volunteer engagement. Most recently, Mendi revamped the development program for Comfort Zone Camp, a national organization focused on childhood bereavement. At CZC, she helped lead an operational and cultural restructuring, diversified revenue streams, and increased individual giving by 14% in two years.
Mendi holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from North Carolina State University. She is a lifelong native of North Carolina living in Apex with her husband and her two sons Nathan and Samuel.
