April’s first career choice after college was financial planning. She quickly learned she needed an alternate career helping others with a high degree of integrity.
For the next 30 years April focused on fundraising, board development, and executive coaching creating partnerships and recruiting diverse revenue streams for nonprofits, for-profits, and institutions of higher education. April has served as an Executive Director and a senior-level development professional with Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Make-A-Wish Foundation of Eastern North Carolina, Wake Education Partnership, Arthritis Foundation, National Kidney Foundation, and the University of San Diego.
A few of her favorite things include travel, cooking, entertaining and organizing closets. April lives in the Triangle with her husband James and her furbaby. She enjoys traveling and spending time with her daughter Kendall and extended family.
