SHARE Charlotte offers simple ways for neighbors, nonprofits, and businesses to come together through good to support our local community through our online platform, sharecharlotte.org.
We want to build a better Charlotte by EMPOWERING NONPROFITS AND HELPING PEOPLE invest in their communities in ways that matter most to them.
We began in 2012, with 87 nonprofits on our site and have grown to over 680 nonprofits all serving Mecklenburg County. In 2018, we expanded nationally and have grown to six other Share communities who want to create a central platform for civic engagement
Why were you inspired to offer a Job Board to the Charlotte nonprofit community?
We get a lot of traffic to our website and people know us as being a central location to find nonprofits so it was a natural extension of our work. Plus, we saw a high demand in community members looking for jobs in the nonprofit sector or who just wanted to explore what type of job opportunities that nonprofits offer. We wanted to offer an affordable option to give even small nonprofits access to a high quality job board.
What is the best way for a nonprofit to post to the job board?
To post an opportunity, contact Amanda Wise, Director of Nonprofit Partnerships. Amanda will get your job on our board and in front of some of the most talented jobseekers in Charlotte.
Can nonprofits with opportunities outside of Charlotte post on your job board?
Our focus is hyper-local giving so we don’t post positions outside of Charlotte.
What advice would you offer job seekers who follow your job board?
Keep coming back on a regular basis, we are always posting new roles!
What is your biggest hope for the Charlotte nonprofit community in the future?
We hope that nonprofits get all of the support they need so they can continue doing the amazing work they are doing to support our communities' most marginalized populations.
