Director of Spiritual Care and Connection
Greensboro Urban Ministry
Tyra has been a faithful leader at Greensboro Urban Ministry for 26 years. She developed and expanded the Emergency Assistance Program and integrated case management throughout the ministry. Now she will develop another program through the newly created role of Director of Spiritual Care and Connection.

Kim Glenn
Executive Director
Kim brings over 20 years of experience as a fundraiser and nonprofit leader to the Executive Director position at Mathkind. She has a passion for promoting equitable access to education and is excited to help Mathkind build quality math education programs through collaborative partnerships that drive greater social justice. She started her new role on November 1.

Michelle Harp
Executive Director
Family Promise of Beaufort County
Michelle has assisted those in need as a leader with Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital, Hope House, St. Jude, and American Heart Association. She started as Executive Director with Family Promise of Beaufort County November 15th.

Skip has garnered extensive experience in a variety of highly regulated environments throughout the United States. He has applied his strong administrative, analytical, organizational, and staff development strategies to offer opportunities for realizing fulfilling lives for people experiencing challenges.

Krystin brings more than 20 years of nonprofit experience in financial management, garnered through roles at the Carolina Small Business Development Fund, WakeMed Foundation, and Triangle Community Foundation. She is excited to join the John Rex Endowment and get back to her foundation roots. 

Justine Knight
Executive Director
Triangle Aphasia Project Unlimited
Previously with American Heart Association, Justine brings years of fundraising, marketing, event planning and, most importantly, is a previous volunteer with TAP. As Executive Director, Justine will carry out TAP’s mission to serve individuals with aphasia, their families, and the community through innovative life participation approaches that maximize communicative potential and reduce barriers to social re-engagement.

George Marut
Chief Development Officer
North Carolina Masonic Foundation
George is an entrepreneurial, strategic thinker, and team builder with a proven track record of successful leadership in fundraising strategy. He joined the NC Masonic Foundation in October with a proven history of achieving positive results by building productive long-term relationships with foundations, major donors, corporations, and community leaders.

Everett McElveen
Everett brings more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience in housing, homelessness, employment, healthcare, and food security. For the last 17 years, he has worked in Pittsburgh where he most recently served as CEO of Community Human Services (CHS) which has a budget of more than $13 million and a staff of 130. Everett also served as President and CEO of Life’s Work of Western Pennsylvania, a nonprofit providing opportunities to people living with disabilities and/or mental illness and those with barriers to employment.

Patrick Nerz
Real Estate Project Manager
Previously with downtown Raleigh-based Empire Properties, Patrick spent the last 10 years engaged in urban planning and real estate development, with the broad goal of creating urban environments that facilitate positive social, economic, and environmental outcomes. He brings these skills to DHIC where he will manage the development of affordable housing projects.

Joseph Omozokpea
Real Estate Project Manager
Joseph joined DHIC to further his career goal of transforming communities through affordable real estate development that improves the lives of current and future residents. He was previously with Greystone Affordable Development, a real estate development and consulting company specializing in affordable housing and portfolio development.

Trevor Osterhaus

Trevor joined the Lucy Daniels Center as the Director of Operations in August. In this role he oversees operations strategy, financial management, human resources, facilities, and technology and data.

Jenine Parham
ROCarolinas Director of Marketing & Acquisitions Specialist
Carolina Common Enterprise
With a proven sales and marketing track record with companies like US Cellular, Jenine will be identifying potential manufactured home community acquisition projects and oversee their purchase by residents.

Formerly CEO/Executive Director of the Tri-County United Way of Peshtigo, WI, Sarah joined My Kid’s Club as Executive Director in August and brings great expertise in board development, fundraising, marketing, operations, and community partnerships.

Lindsay Tomlinson
Director of Development & Advancement
Habitat for Humanity of Durham
Lindsay brings 13 years of experience in broad-based non-profit and higher education fundraising and development. She most recently served as Manager of Major Gifts at Food Bank of Central & Eastern NC.

Adam Vanek
Chief Operating Officer
Stop Soldier Suicide
Adam joined Stop Soldier Suicide in September, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience from his previous roles with Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) and The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Adam and his family are returning to NC from Texas.
