Nevin Daryani Joins Armstrong McGuire as Director of Operations

With two decades of research, technology, fundraising, and operations experience supporting the expansion of North Carolina’s nonprofit community, Nevin Daryani knows a thing or two about building strong organizations. Beginning Monday, Nevin will bring those talents and his passion for community impact to the Armstrong McGuire team as the firm’s first Director of Operations. Nevin’s expertise and leadership will bring significant value to the Armstrong McGuire team and its strategic expansion of service to the nonprofit and philanthropic sectors.

As Director of Operations Nevin will guide efforts to strengthen the quality of the internal systems, processes, and strategies that support Armstrong McGuire’s team of advisors.

“We could not be more excited to welcome Nevin to the team,” said Co-founder and Principal Bert Armstrong. “We have experienced tremendous growth and Nevin brings a unique background in scaling organizations. Equally important, he embodies the core values that are the bedrock of our firm’s success: integrity, experience, relationship, and results. We look forward to his leadership in helping propel us forward as we continue to grow our client family and our team.”

Prior to joining Armstrong McGuire, Nevin served as the Director of Embedded Operations with Communities In Schools of North Carolina. During his tenure, he had the opportunity to work with foundations, community partners, and school districts across the state to advocate for educational excellence for all students. He most recently served on CIS’s state and national diversity, equity, and inclusion teams and in 2021 was the recipient of the Linda Harrill Executive Leadership Award.

A native North Carolinian, Nevin received a pair of degrees from Western Carolina University including a Master’s in Public Affairs with a focus on Nonprofit Management. Prior to entering the nonprofit sector, Nevin served as an Army Specialist in the North Carolina National Guard. Nevin lives in Durham, NC with his wife Melanie and their two daughters.

“I am thrilled to join this talented team,” Daryani said. “This opportunity culminates my experience into a role that will not only strengthen Armstrong McGuire, but also will impact nonprofits and foundations across the region.”
