Okay…so the last few months have been completely crazy for everyone. Schedules have been thrown out, kids are home, activities are limited, and the list goes on and on.
In addition to all the things going on in the world and the community, I engaged in an intensive coaching curriculum through Raleigh Coaching Academy. The class included reading ten books and spending nine full days on Zoom. It was wonderful and it was a lot.
To make things even more exciting, my husband accepted a new job in Charlotte in June, and we moved in August. It was a lot.
And now six weeks since we moved, I am starting to come up for air. The to do list is shorter, the kids are settled, and I know how to get to the grocery store.
On the last day of my coaching class we were asked to complete the following sentence: “As of this moment, as the creator of my new story, I leap towards…”
What am I leaping towards now? What has shifted during this time? What are you leaping towards? How are you moving your life closer towards your ideal reality?
How do we take time to reflect on where we are and ALSO on where we want to go? We spend time strategic planning for our organizations but when do we find time to make a personal plan for ourselves? Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What are the steps you can take to get there?
Take out a piece of paper and write…
“As of this moment, as the creator of my new story, I leap towards…”
No really, do it! I want to know what you come up with!
Here is what I came up with:
“As of this moment, as the creator of my new story, I leap towards joy, love, and simplicity. I will do this in three phases. First, I need to rest, recover, and get grounded. Second, I need to make new connections and get integrated in my new community. And third, I will find ways to have an impact by elevating and empowering others.”
Send me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know what you are leaping towards!
Over the next several weeks, you will have the chance to hear other musings from me about the last few months.
