If done correctly, board service is a serious commitment of time, energy and expertise. It should also be a terrifically rewarding experience for the board member. Yep! Summer is just about over. Our son is back at college and our daughter has started her senior year in high school. We will be lucky to get one last long weekend at the beach over Labor Day, but that's about it. Whatever summertime rest and relaxation I was supposed to have experienced is complete and whatever tan I'm going to have has set in. It's time to get back to work.
